Keep food fresher for longer
The secret to longer lasting food
Fresh, simple and stylish, our cooling range bares all the hallmarks of thoughtful Scandinavian design. Did you know you can significantly increase the life of many fresh foods in a standard fridge, just but keeping them on certain shelves? Here are few tips on what to put where and why.
A place for everything
So, from the bottom. Fruit and vegetables in the drawers at the bottom. Meat and fish needs to be covered and kept in the coldest part of the fridge, which is usually the shelf above the vegetable drawers. Next up it's dairy products like cheese and milk, along with cooked meats. And in the warmest part of the fridge, the top two shelves, pastries, eggs and general produce.
Keep it Covered
Food with strong odours should be sealed in an air-tight container and kept away from dairy food, which can easily absorb strong smells. Keeping certain food in air-tight containers also prevents food from drying out, which keeps it fresher for longer too.
Intensive cooling and freezing
The Intensive settings work by lowering the temperature of the fridge or freezer so new shopping is quickly chilled. This helps preserve the flavour, colour and nutritional value as well as protecting food thats is already being stored.
